Jennifer Miller Perry Current Location: Bloomington, Indiana Other Places I've Lived: Just outside Seattle, Washington Vincennes, Indiana Occupation: Mom, substitute teacher of library media (that's a mouthful!) I earned my Master of Library Science degree in December 2006 and have been busy subbing and volunteering in school libraries since then. Family: Married to Bill Perry since 1994; son Liam, born 1995 Hobbies: amateur web design political activism - just a homegrown liberal keeping it blue in the red states. traveling more than is reasonable. So far, my favorite is Siena, Italy, but I want to see more of Europe. nurturing my eclectic reading habits (from online Jane Austen sequels to Howard Zinn and most things in between). This will be the first summer in three years that I haven't been taking classes full time, so I'm very ready to revisit recreational activities. They will attend Lakeview School as 2nd and 1st graders. We live in Springville, IN, since 1995 which is still in Monroe County. We have 2.5 acres with 3 horses, 1 boxer dog Harley, and 1 cat, Haus. I am still very close to my friends from high school and have made several more good friends since 1989. I am truly blessed with a good family, beautiful daughters, a good husband, and co-workers. Currently, I work at IU in the Groups Student Support Services program that assists first generation, low-income, and physically challenged students attend IU. It is a wonderful program that functions on a strong foundation. I am also currently obtaining my Master's degree from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IU. I am contemplating going to school full-time to complete my degree faster this fall. I am majoring in Nonprofit management and hope (if life allows, my family comes first) to apply to law school to obtain a MPA-JD degree. Afterwards, I want to move to North Carolina, where the mountains are on one side and the ocean on the other. I have this fantasy of rocking in my chair (I have one that looks like the one at Cracker Barrel) outside, drinking my Starbucks or my Bailey's and coffee, (Starbucks is my worst habit yet,) overseeing the ocean. In a stroke of brilliance I told him the truth in front of a very surprised US history class. being stood up by ak!!! being branded a cultish person by the hoofbeat. being intoduced to the game of pothole dodging, rooftop surfing and chicken racing. ...it was a brilliant year and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in b & e - town. all the naughtier details can obviously not be disclosed in this public forum, but who knows maybe later... Jen's Editorial Comments: I was giving Jonas a hard time about having graduated with the class of '88 and here is how he defended himself: maybe I'm not so different after all. old mr townsend didn't let me graduate properly because he claimed that I was supposed to have been a junior. in the end he decided to award me the very prestigeous document "certificate of attendance". half of the classes I attended were 11th grade, hence my encounters with old mr hover. due to my dual personality, i guess I could be considered class of '89 as well as class of '88. Twist my arm. Welcome to the class, Jonas!	Lisa Gutermuth Hosey Current Location: Bloomington, Indiana Other Places I've Lived: Nothing really interesting like some. Louisville, KY Wilmington, NC Occupation: Manager, Event and Meeting Services Indiana University Foundation. I plan and host lots of events for donors to IU. I do a lot of different things in my work, but most recently, I did an event in NYC at the Metropolitan Club and Lincoln Center. I also planned an event where Colin Powell was our guest speaker and I got to meet him which was pretty cool. Family: Husband, Aaron, married since Nov. 1997; dog, Willie, wire fox terrier; parrot, Widget, maroon bellied conure. Note: Some of you may remember my sister, Amy. She's living in Indianapolis now with her husband, Donald. They will be there for the next year and a half as Donald completes his medical residency at Methodist Hospital. Hobbies: I ride American Saddlebred horses. I travel down to Louisville to take lessons and I've participated in several horse shows. I also love gardening and going out to interesting restaurants. I have done alot of traveling though. I have to say that I love and adore L.A. California!! It is exciting and beautiful there! I would love to move there someday. Swimmin' pools~ movie stars... and all that jazzzzzzz..... Occupation: I work for the state of IN for the past 3 years taking care of people with disabilities. It is challenging and very rewarding!! Everyday I am reminded how truly blessed I am, and I count my blessings! Before this job I worked as a collector/repo agent here in B-Town and Indianapolis for about 6 years. It was fun and exciting. {but scary at times!!} Family: Well lets see here... There is my husband Bob and I. We have a dog named "Sopia" Loren. She just had babies about 4 weeks ago. Their names are "Ricky" and "Lucy". We have a cat named Humphrey "Bogart". Our Sopia and Bogart have been together since they were wee small lads, so we are not sure if they know that they are not the same kind of animals. Hobbies: My passion is cooking!! I hope to own a resteraunt someday. I am an artist. I feel like I can officially call myself that, because I have sold my art work to a art gallery. Other Places I've Lived: Louisville is the only other place I've lived. I guess you can count Terre Haute during college. Oh, boy am I the big adventurer or what! Occupation: Paralegal for a personal injury law firm. No, we don't chase ambulances! Family: My parents and brother are still in Bloomington. I love coming to visit! Hobbies: Not many hobbies. Sitting on the couch and watching CSI on Thursday nights is something I do on a regular basis. However, my husband and I are big socialites. Hobbies: Dreaming about and even visiting tropical locations, scuba/snorkeling for hours at a time (ask Jen), kayaking, anything involving water or being outdoors. Bill Hornick and Kristi Moore Hornick Current Location: Rolla, Missouri. I know what you're thinking... Where's that? I asked Bill the same question when he said he was being transferred! It's an hour and half west of St. Louis (Go Cards & Rams!). Rolla's slogan is "Middle of Everywhere". It's actually in the middle of nowhere! WE HAVE NO MALL-BIG BUMMER!!! Other Places I've Lived: Columbus, IN Ellettsville Occupation: Bill-Functional Operations Manager for Wal-Mart's Distribution Center; Kristi-Former Banker turned Secretary at the First United Methodist Church (I knew I was supposed to be more involved in church, but WOW!) Family: Us, of course and our children Jake (6) & Ashton (3) Hobbies: Bill-Golf, Woodworking (yes, he convinced me we actually needed a workshop!), Basketball and helping Jake become a top athlete (who will get a full ride in college AND end up in the pros of any sport so we can retire before 55 as planned!), and giving Ashton anything her little heart desires! Chris is currently a full-time fire fighter with the City of Bloomington and has his own business doing maintenance/pump testing/repairs on fire trucks for the surrounding fire departments. Family: Chris Welch took it upon himself to go ahead and marry me, even though I would not kiss him on our first date our Junior year of high school and the fact that I circled the word "or" on his note in sixth grade asking me if I liked him. Maybe it was me that took pity on him, since he was pretty persistant. We were married in 1993 and have two sons, Nate age 7 and Wyatt age 4, oh yeah and Skip the hyper Jack Russell Terrier that likes to run on the treadmill, age 2. Hobbies: Well, as I stated before, sitting on the couch and eating bon-bons.
